{Ctrl + J} - does it appear in that Downloads window?
If so, right-click that file and select 'Open Containing Folder. That is where the download is. Close Firefox and run the installer from that folder.
If not, maybe your anti-virus program is blocking the download?

There are two different versions of Flash. One for IE (ActiveX) and another for all other browsers (Plugin version). Are you downloading the Plugin version of Flash?

1.Download the Flash setup file from here:
Adobe Flash - Plugin version.
Save it to your Desktop.

2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure firefox.exe is closed,
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del = Processes tab}

3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

I CAN'T get Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin to install in Namoroka (64-bit) (3.6.3) (which i just installed yesterday). I am running Windows 7 Home Prem OA (64-bit) on my laptop & I have tried both the automatic & manual installs, uninstalled all versions of Flash from my Programs & Features folder, turned off my anti-virus & tried installing both ways again. It successfully installs in the system (after each attempt I look in my Programs & Features folder & Flash is there), yet it refuses to install into Namoroka (I check the Add-ons/Plugins & all that shows is the Mozilla Default Plug-in 1.0.0.15). Please tell me that there is a way to fix this problem soon, as every web page I visit REQUIRES Flash.

You need a 64-bit beta version of Flash (code-named "Squared" ) for Namoroka 64-bit.
See this Adobe support article -> Flash Player on 64-bit operating systems
