Firefox refuses to open.
Firefox refuses to open on my new Dell Studio XPS running Windows 7 64 bit. I have tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling several times and still can't get it to work. I recently migrated my files from an identical system and I think it worked before. I'm using McAfee and tried disabling that along with Skype and any other program I could think about, still no luck. Please help.

Try the procedures in the Firefox won't start - find solutions article.
Do you get any error messages?
Absolutely nothing, it just won't start.
Have you tried the procedures in the article that I linked to?
I tried that yesterday and it did not help. When I look under the processes tab today firefox is not listed. Should I try uninstall and reinstall again? I've reinstalled so many times already, I don't know what else to do at this point.
Re-installing Firefox rarely fixes problems, the problem is usually not with the actual installation of Firefox.
If you can access the profile manager try creating a new profile. User data is stored in the profile and creating a new profile will show if the problem is with the old profile. For details of how to do this see Creating a new Firefox profile on Windows.
If the new profile works, if you wish you can transfer selected data such as bookmarks and passwords to the new profile. For details on how to do that see Transferring data to a new profile
Thank you so much for your help but I'm unable to create a new profile. When I use run and type in firefox -P the firefox window that appears is so tiny I'm unable to do anything from that point and it won't allow me to maximize the window.
Had the same problem. After system restored to an earlier date, Firefox start normally. Win 7 & latest Firefox
