I recently had to have my computer rebuilt due to a virus. I now have Mozilla Firefox with ABP and noticed that Mozilla has a built-in phishing and virus program. Do I need an additional anti-virus program and if so, which one works best with Firefox?

The anti-phishing and malware protection that Firefox uses checks against a list of sites that have been reported to contain some form of malware, and then warns you. Firefox itself does not scan any files to see if they contain malware/viruses. You still need some form of anti-virus and anti-malware protection. You should also use a firewall.

As to what is best, you are likely to get many different answers, that is one topic that generates a lot of discussion. A product that one person loves will be hated by somebody else. I use Microsoft Security Essentials along with the Windows firewall.

I have it, too, Mozilla with ABP. My nightmare is called ´ads served by Netbits.´When I use Mozilla and Mozilla only, Netbits blows upp all over the page I requested with advertisement. I have; Microsofy security essentials, Spy botts, Spywareblaster, Hijack this and Ad Aware running and Netbits is still all over the place... I tried un install Mozilla, removed every possible Mozilla related map before re installing a new version of Mozilla - no improvement. I´m so sick and tired of this Netbits crap. The only thing I haven´t tried to get rid of Netbits on my PC is to nuke it... Netbits seems to sneak in with temp files. Can anyone PLEASE help me with this. Thanx!!!
