I use Honeywell software to control our heating and air conditioning system. I cannot access this internal web site with Mozilla 3.6 (I get a timeout after a long delay). I had to roll back to 3.5 in order to get it to work again. What internet interfaces were changed for 3.6, and has anyone else had problems? This upgrade also made it so IE didn't work for this site either. Thanks.

If you were using Firefox 3.6.6 a new preference was added to the Connection Settings proxy preferences in Tools > Options > Advanced >> Network tab - Connection = Settings = Use system proxy settings

The default setting is for Use system proxy settings, which can prevent LAN connections from being made, like you experienced. AFAIK, it can affect almost any local network device that you interface with using a local IP address, like routers, NAS devices, and such.

If you select No proxy and restart Firefox your problem should be fixed.
