When Firefox is the default browser, and using the mail client Windows Live Mail, Attachments from the Live Hotmail account larger than Approx 70KB's will begin to download but never succeed("unable to display message"). These same attachments download normally when selecting Internet Explorer as the default browser or if Firefox is used to access Live Hotmail directly via WEB Mail.
