I am having problems opening my email with Mozilla Firefox.
For about the past week, I have been having difficulty opening my emails using Mozilla Firefox. The screen shows loading for a few minutes then a message appears instructing me to use basic mail. I've rebooted numerous times, cleaned up unwanted files, defragged, etc. but it hasn't alleviated the problem.

Opening e-mails in Firefox Version 3.6.6 using Mac OS x 10.6 has been a problem for the past two days. I can access and open all my e-mails in drafts, spam and trash. For my incoming e-mails however, I can access the incoming list of all my e-mails, but when I highlight any e-mail and try to open it, it will not open. When I switched over to my Windows XP Pro platform and accessed my e-mail through Internet Explorer I have no problem opening my incoming e-mails. What's the problem with Firefox?
Which web mail service provider are you guys using? Have you checked their support forums about that issue?
I receive my e-mail through comcast.net. I have spoken to them about the problem of opening my incoming e-mail but since I can open it on Internet Explorer they said it was a Firefox problem. I agree with them.
I'm also having difficulty opening my e-mail. However, it is intermittent and does not occur on my second e-mail address.
I have had to switch over to Internet Explorer to get decent results.
It is very frustrating and has been going on for about the past two weeks.
Am using Windows XP.
I cannot open either Verizon webmail or gmail in FF (latest edition) though I can open both in IE and Google Chrome (which I have now made my default browser because of ongoing FF problems with email). This is very basic stuff! Seems like every time FF does an update it screws up very basic operations like email.
I use AOL web mail and didn't have any problems opening my e-mail at my primary address recently.
I'm still having problems and am getting very disenchanted with Fire Fox.
Ironically I don't seem to have this situation with my secondary AOL e-mail address.

The original problem of not being able to open incoming e-mail while still having the ability to open drafts, trash and spam has cleared up without explanation. My Firefox/Comcast.net e-mail access is working fine and has been for the past week.
