If you installed the ad blocker as a Firefox add-on, it should be in the list of extensions at about:addons. Enable it if it is not enabled, and it should be visible when clicking on the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) on the toolbar. In the Extensions panel, click on the settings icon next to the adblocker, and click on "Pin to Toolbar". Doing this will keep the ad blocker on the toolbar.
