Display fonts on Fb squished together

more options

Hi, So I'm on Facebook. A friend has a new post. The post is all squished together, almost on top of the other line. I have looked over my settings to see if there is a way to alter the spacing but to no avail. I now realized why I stopped using Firefox a little while back and this is the main reason. If I can't read posts on social media apps on my computer browser what's the use?

Suggestions and fixes MOST welcome before I throw my hands up again. Edge is messed up in other ways as is Opera so I'd really love to have just ONE browser that I can depend on. Considering I used to be a HUGE fan of FF back in the day before the entire code was rewritten I'd love to be back in the fold. If this can be resolved I'll stay. For sure.

Thanks so much Richard

As it turns out I took screen shots of all my addons and then uninstalled them and restarted FF. I then, one by one, checking on Fb to see if any squish returned, added the ones I most needed back in. It's all fixed but man that was really strange. I did have TWO Zoom addons so I think the two of them didn't play well together. My fault but it's been a good long while since I've used FF. With fresh eyes I resolved it.

Thanks for the help cor-el! Richard

Are you zooming the page with "Zoom text only" or did you increase the minimum font size?

You may have accidentally zoomed webpage(s). Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View -> Zoom -> Reset (Ctrl+0/Command+0 (zero))

If you have made changes to Advanced font-size settings like increasing the minimum/default font-size, try the Default font-size setting "16" and the Minimum font-size setting "none" to see if that makes a difference.

  • Settings -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Fonts -> Advanced -> Minimum Font Size (none)

It is better not to increase the minimum font-size, but to use the built-in Firefox Zoom feature (do not use "Zoom text only").

  • Settings -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Zoom
