Save Image As... in shortcut menus (mouse right-click)

I have always found the "Save Image As..." menu command when right-clicking with the mouse in order to save an image. Recently the website where I download these images from has implemented an automatic zoom feature that changed this standard menu (now appearing with commands such as "Save Page As...", "Save Page to Pocket", "Select All", etc...). I cannot access any command that directly relates to the underlying image and so I am not able to save it. The website developers assured me that with their own browser (not Firefox, I presume) the "Save Image As..." option is still available, suggesting me to install a different one. I believe the reason of this change in behaviour is because the mouse does not find a direct link to the image any more (as if there was a layer in between running a script to enlarge the image).
My question: is there any other way to access the menu option I need? Why should other browsers be able to "see through" the image and have the standard menu?

Firefox is a bit literal with the right-click context. Transparent layers in front of images definitely are a problem (for years/decades).
Depending on the zoom/navigation design, there may be a section of the menu referring to a background image, but not always.
As a possible workaround, you could check out this add-on:

Neither of those has one-click direct saving of "buried" images.

I tried both the add-ons you suggested, even if they both expose the image beneath, they do not provide the simple, direct menu option I am used to find. When you repeat a task over and over hundreds of times, it does make a difference to click once or, instead, open a submenu/window and then click one or two more times to achieve the same result. All I need is to copy the image link, then my own code takes care of the rest. I believe it should be trivial to add a couple of menu options (the code is already working fine in the add-ons) just to access the image link that was once exposed.
You did not mention whether other browsers include that menu option or not. As a faithful Firefox user for so many years, I unfortunately have to consider to install a browser that keeps my life easier when it comes to save images, sounds like a shame if you think it is just because of one or two menu options missing (if I got it right).
So in the case of my extension, if clicking the file name on the background images list copied the link to the clipboard instead of launching a popup window, that would be a solution for you?
I'm sure there is a way to do that but I need to find time to add it.
You can also try to locate the image in "Tools -> Page Info -> Media".

Sure, that would definitely help. The best would be to have the "Copy Image Link" option as in the standard menu, but I guess Add-Ons should not get more than an option each (and as many submenus as they want). When tasks become extremely repetitive, even a submenu (and the fractions of second you wait) is, as somebody would say, a loss of productivity (that not even the newest Windows version could compensate :-)).
