I am trying to download firefox with windows explorer which comes with windows 7. It seems I can not download anything. I try to download the firefox I get a message, The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid. I downloaded once the firefox installer but in the middle of the installation I get a message OOPs something went wrong and it won't install. what is going on?

Try downloading the full setup at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
An alternative is http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/99.0.1/win64/en-US/ http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/99.0.1/win64/ (other locales)
or if you have 32-bit Win7 then http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/99.0.1/win32/en-US/ http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/99.0.1/win32/ (other locales)
You will need to do updates for Windows 7 as for Firefox 100.0 and later it will require the Microsoft update KB4474419. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-version-100-on-windows-7
I googled the error message. Make sure the computer's date and time is correct. Ah, good point about the date/time since it was a new fresh install.
