Secure connection failed with using the built-in Google search from address bar / search bar

Secure connection error when searching with Google using the built-in Google search from address / search bar. Only happens sometimes, and in those instances, typing www.google.com on the address bar gets me to the Google page. Searching with Google then works. Does not occur if built-in address bar search engine is changed to Bing or other service providers.

Have tried the following indivdiually but did not isolate a fix for the issue. 1) Changing between no proxy or use system proxy on Firefox's connection settings. 2) Use Google cloud DNS instead of default ISP DNS on my Windows 10 internet connection settings. 3) Removing HTTPS Everywhere add-on. 4) Reinstalling Firefox, re-starting Firefox in safe mode, refreshing Firefox, and manually creating new profile (i.e. almost like a manual refresh). 5) Enabling Windows 10 enterprise security certificates via setting the about:config - security.enterprise_roots.enabled to true. 6) Changing the HTTPS-only mode in the normal Firefox settings. 7) Changing the "Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates" setting in Firefox. 8) Changing the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" on Firefox.

Issue does not occur with Chrome and Microsoft Edge regardless on any of the steps above.

Thanks.
