Hi,

I got an issue that bookmarks are saved in the library, but this doesn't reflect on the Bookmark toolbar.

I have already removed the entire profile, did a reinstall .. nothing seems to reset it. When I perform a backup, the entries are also in the backup json.

I hope somebody can help, this started happening recently it seems.

Thanks in advance!

There are 2 bookmark locations that are identical? No idea how this happend ...

I now moved the entries from Bookmarks Menu to Bookmark Toolbar, everything is showing now. Who invented this? really ... autch.

Well thanks for the help guys, I at least I found the issue I was having.

Hello Mathe!

Have all the bookmarks in the toolbar disappeared? Or is it just the K3S bookmark folder?

Thanks!

Hey Bithiah,

No, I still have all the older made bookmarks, just entries in this new folder, or any other new bookmark doesn't show. When you go into 'Manage Bookmarks', they show up.

There could be a problem with the database. Open the troubleshooting page (Help > More Troubleshooting Information or about:support). A long way down you will find Places Database. Click on the button labelled Verify Integrity and post the output here.

Had already renamed the places.sqlite once to see if that would solve it :)

Note that the second screenshot in your question shows this K3S folder in a 'home' folder in the Bookmarks Menu folder and not the 'home' folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar, so do not get confused by the name of the folder.

You can possibly use "Show in Folder" in a search result list.

That looks OK. Have you tried restoring the backup which was intact? I have linked below some articles about troubleshooting and profiles. You could try creating a new profile as a quick test to see whether the problem persists.

I already removed my profiles and even uninstalled FF in total, restoring the bookmarks backup didn't help. The weird thing is ... the entries are in the backup.

What do you mean? they are both in the home folder.
