Unwanted update
Hello can someone please tell me how to stop Firefox from ignoring my settings and updating every time I start my new day. It has forced version 96.0 3 times this week and I cannot use it. They have removed the right click copy and paste for some stupid reason in my opinion. Also they have discontinued certain video downloader apps and do not offer anything to replace them. I have it set to ask first but it doesn't bother and it's really causing me trouble. Not only do I have to waste valuable time uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox but also all my add ons. This is costing me a lot of money because I'm on a metered network. This is not only wrong it is no different than rape and I am very disturbed by this kind of strong arm tactics.If this continues I will be making a formal complaint to the FTC. You may think this is silly but if you do then let me force what I want on you and see how you feel then. I'm asking as politely as I possibly can for Mozilla to act like a responsible and honorable corporation.I have used Firefox for 10 years and until now I would say it's the best browser bar none. I just came home for lunch and now have spent my entire lunch break dealing with this forced rape again. I'm going back to work and when I come home if version 96.0is once again forced on my PC I will need medical attention. Forgive me if anyone thinks that I'm being childish but I can assure you no matter how I'm acting it's fare more professional than what they are. I understand how you feel. I didn’t like where Firefox Quantum was going. So, I stopped updating at v54. So far, no real issues. And I still have my Legacy add-ons.
I have noticed, however, that some websites don't work properly.
Note: With some versions of Firefox, the data files are not backward compatible.
If there is an issue, create a new profile and we can tell you how to recover the data.
How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64?
You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users.

You know it's really sad because I'm completely lost I have no freaking idea how to do any of that that you just told me I'm a carpenter I build you a house if you'll fix my computer. And I sure don't have the money to take it somewhere and let somebody work on it I've had cancer three times in the last 6 years and if I didn't own my property before I came down with cancer three times and 6 years I would be homeless right now cancer took everything I've worked my entire life for I'm not complaining I'm just stating the facts so let me ask you another question that no one ever answers can somebody tell me where I can take a course to learn how to deal with these damn computers I can't read a book and do it I'm not smart enough I don't get it I have to do it Hands-On and nobody I've been asking that for 5 years nobody has ever gave me a straight answer where I could go take a course to learn how to do this there's got to be one somewhere and I guess I'll just delete Firefox because four times yesterday it updated on its own and just now it deleted all my damn downloads that I worked all night long on anyway thanks for all the great advice but I just don't have it I'm not technical I'm a carpenter.
