How do I contact official Mozilla support?

more options

I would like to contact Firefox support, but the best I found on the official site is this "ask the community" thing. Is there a support e-mail or a well hidden web form that I missed?

Thanks, zoliking

This is the official Mozilla support for the Firefox web browser. Anything else is not associated with Mozilla.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

That is only partially true as there another option that is official discourse.mozilla.org for some Firefox related things however support.mozilla.org is the best official place for desktop Firefox support.

The Mozilla newsgroups have closed down this year and irc.mozilla.org was permanently decommissioned back in March 2020. However after irc.mozilla.org closed there is now the Mozilla matrix which some people use for support of Firefox among other things. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Matrix

Mozilla does not have the resources to have the call centres that would be required for one on one support by email, chat or phone for a free to use and also build from source yourself web browser. What about the other Mozilla products besides the desktop web browser as people would want direct support for those too to add to load. None of the other free to use desktop web browsers have one on one support.

One on one support is generally for paid for products like say a paid for antivirus for example because you well paid for support. Mozilla did try working with third parties to do pay for support by email and phone options long ago but they were both short lived.

Any so called tech support phone numbers for Firefox out there are either scams or have no affiliation with the company Mozilla and use at your own risk. I have seen plenty of posts here saying they called some number, paid and then got useless or no support and then wanted a refund from Mozilla. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/avoid-and-report-mozilla-tech-support-scams
