I have a question submitted already. It does not have an answer. I am posting in a new location. Since the version 90, Logins and Passwords is losing sites. I had exported when I first noticed, at that time I had 78. I have reset/recovered 8 sites since and did a new export, only 75 logins now. Something BIG has occurred from 89.0.2 to 90 and it is NOT a good thing. Please help

The action taken that 'may' have affect on the passwords is that on a new tab I HAD (since removed all rows) 2 rows of history displayed and I have been selecting sites and 'delete from history'. I didn't think that would affect my 'Logins & Passwords', because before vers 90, that action DID NOT have the problem of me losing 'logins and passwords' from Firefox. I know this is an action I have done and I am bringing it to this request for help, to try to facilitate an answer quicker.

Using "Remove from History" on the Firefox Home page shouldn't affect the logins stored in the Lockwise Password Manager.

You didn't use "Forget About This Site" as this will remove the logins for this origin (protocol and hostname) ?

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Thanks for the information. Since I have removed the 2-row history and I am not 100% on why this is happening with the vers. 90...I am not going to reinstate that. The verbiage "remove from history", I really had thought/do think it is 'delete from history'. The "forget about this site" I have used for some time now and without it deleting any logins or passwords. I had questioned before why when I chose either, the replacement would STILL be a site I'd just 'forgotten or deleted'-that wasn't answered. But on the topic, I have not been using the 'forget', I had been using delete...I brought that to this issue, because it is the only action that might of tied-in with what I'm experiencing. As stated, I've removed all rows of the history, so I am not compulse'd to delete. Thanks for your reply. The issue I have is new with the version 90, actions I took prior did not have the results as they do now. I do not know if having the history hidden will stop the logins and passwords from disappearing. Logic and your reply both lean towards that I shouldn't be losing them from my actions of 'delete from history'. I do appreciate your time and help...I am not calling this resolved. Not a reflection on you.

I have lost another Login & Password, even though the actions of me three dotting a history icon and deleting from history has stopped. I have not cleared the data or cache manually since issuing a request for help. Settings are set to clear data and cache upon browser's closure. I do not believe I've completely closed Firefox since this posting. Something is wrong with the Windows 32bit application of Firefox version 90. I am requesting help to stop losing logins and passwords. My actions, in agreement of Cor-el and self, should not be causing 'Logins & Passwords' to be removed from my browser. This started while version 90 was in the background of 89.0.2, two entries were gone. Once the browser was restarted, I had and am continuing to lose 'Logins & Passwords'. I have to exports to my desktop the earlier one contains 78, and the more resent has 75. I have reset a few website multiple times and have one site that I cannot access at all. Please investigate, thanks. Philip H

90.0.1 is out. Logins and Passwords were not in the 'fix'. I still have one password I cannot reset (not seeking help on that, just the issue of losing logins and passwords). Exported list today, total of 81 saved...it's the highest number to date since version 90 started.

Seeking help with issue of losing logins and passwords with version 90's implementation.
