Bookmarks library column sizes can't be adjusted
I can't figure out how to adjust the column sizes in the bookmarks library, it's frozen in place even after I've restarted my computer. I can click the top of the column to sort and I can add other columns (tags, visit count etc.), I just can't adjust the size.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?

The way it is supposed to work is that you move your mouse pointer over the vertical line between two column, the pointer changes into a double-headed arrow, you click and drag the line to where you want it, and then release. Does anything happen on yours when you hover over the line?

I have had this problem for some time. It can be very irritating as you cannot see the name in full except at the bottom of that pane in the name box where you can edit the name.
I tried Troubleshoot Mode and I was able adjust the column widths there. I deleted "Tag" column. I then added "Last Modified" and "Added" columns and moved them to being the second and third columns. It was then I found that I could not adjust the column widths. I then moved these two columns back to the end and I was able to adjust the column widths again.
I left Troubleshoot Mode and tried moving columns around from there. It partly works. If I have Name, Added and Last Modified as the only three columns and in that order then I can adjust the width of Name column. But not Added column.
If I hover over the vertical bar to the left of Last Modified then I see the double ended arrow (even though I cannot adjust the width of the column to its left). If I rearrange the columns to Name, Last Modified and Added the same situation prevails except there is no double ended arrow when I hover over the vertical bar to the left of Added. There is also a much larger gap between the second and third columns (Last Modified and Added).
As an aside I tried the link above (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/806255#answer-161484) from where there is a link to How-do-I-use-bookmarks in the chosen solution. This page does not exist.
Note that the subject discussed in /questions/806255 has nothing to do with the Library. That thread is about the bookmark list that you see in a bookmarks menu drop down list and where you can open folders. If there are bookmarks with s long title then a folder is opened to the left or right depending how much space is available.
What works for me when I can't adjust a column width is to left-click on the header bar and try again. I sometimes see weird effects when I try to drag the column separator where I end up adjusting the next column. In this case it also works if I left-click on the header bar.
