Hi! The latest Firefox for Android is extremely unusable for me. Is there any way to install previous version? Thanks!

The is no way to reverse to previous versions using the playstore.

However there is a long history of versions on apkmirror, if you want to downgrade. You will have to uninstall your current version and download the previous (v68) from apkmirror, then just install it or learn how to install apps from outside the playstore.

For the good or bad you will be struck with the same version forever, read the support notes about "choosing not to update" if you want to now more.

Yes, there is. Uninstall your current version and then install a version (v68 in this case) from a source you trust. Be sure it is a build compatible with your phone.

Thanks a lot! I'll check it out. Current version is just too buggy. I can't use half of my favourite websites now (and everything was great at the previous version). Not to mention this terrible new design. In worst case scenario I have to move to some other browser...

Anyway, problem is solved. Thanks again!

You can downgrade if you uninstall this latest garbage from the Mozila monsters but first go to Google Play and disable automatic update for all apps or for just Firefox.

To disable all automatic updates at the Google Play Store go to the three bar symbol in the upper left hand corner and in the list select Settings>Auto-update apps and select the Don't auto-update apps.

To disable just Firefox select My apps & games (at the top of the list) and then disable auto-update for Firefox.

You can still download the previous 68.11.0 apk here (but hurry, this is Mozilla you are dealing with) -- https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-android-release and install it.

Yes, you will lose everything.

This is where Firefox Synch on a PC comes in. I have had a lot of trouble with Firefox Synch screwing up my bookmarks on my PC so what follows is what I do...

ON YOUR PC: 1) Before Using Synch On Your PC: FIRST backup all your bookmarks. Firefox Synch is infamous for being both confusing and screwing things up. (Why doesn't Mozilla fix this cumbersome nonsense instead of wasting our time with browser "improvements" no one wants or asked for?)

To backup your bookmarks on your PC... Copy and paste your Firefox profile as a backup OR In your Firefox profile copy and paste favicons.sqlite (favicons associated with bookmarks) and places.json (bookmarks). OR Open the Show All Bookmarks window on the Menu Toolbar. -- No Menu Toolbar? Go into customize mode and enable the toolbar. (To get into customize mode click on the three bar icon in the upper right corner of the browser) and select Customize... OR right click on the Firefox bar, and select Customize... from the drop down window. ) In the All Bookmarks window select Backup and backup your bookmarks to a file THEN backup favicons.sqlite in your profile folder.

2) After backng up your bookmarks on your PC: Delete all your bookmarks in Firefox (this avoids any weird stuff happening while using Firefox Synch).

Now You're Ready for the Firefox Synch Experience 1) Connect your Android device to Firefox Synch (under Settings) 2) Synch your bookmarks (this should upload the bookmarks from Firefox Android to the sych repository on the web). 3) Connect Firefox to Firefox Synch on your PC and initiate a sync.

Lastly... 4) If Firefox Synch screws up (er, I mean after it screws up) run around in circles and howl. Then disconnect PC and phone and try again. If is screws up again, jump through hoops and try again. If it screws up again run outside (without any face mask) foaming at the mouth and scream bloody murder. Then try again.

If you can't get Firefox Synch to work tear out all your hair, restore all your bookmarks and try again another day or in a few hours after you have cooled down from being run around in circles and forced to jump through hoops trying to use it.

5) Once you get your Android device's bookmarks on your PC's Firefox browser, BACK THEM UP.
