changing user name
I'm starting gender transition, I prefer to have my name match my identity, but it's a long process to change a legal name. Is there a way to change it as a "to be changed to"?

Would you do this please :
Click on your display name/avatar on the upper right side of this page; then click on "View" <big>→</big> "Edit Profile", and then click on the big blue button saying "Manage Firefox Account".
There you will see the option to change our display name.
Your display name is the name people will see on the support forum.
Your username can only be changed by an administrator. If you want that changed as well; let me know and I will send you a private message.

Go to the top of any support.mozilla.org web page and press your user icon to see your Mozilla profile. Including your questions and answers.
You should find what you want there.

Thank you McCoy, that did end up being pretty much what happened, and the admin were quicker that bunnies getting it sorted out almost before I could type my question
My username should be "epaymaster@gmail.com" but when sending out email's it recently has added to the first part "A647j749" why ? I have searched my profile and such but I cannot tell where it is coming from, to change it ?? Help please ...

Just wanted to let you all know that this work has been deployed in the staging site https://github.com/mozilla/sumo-project/issues/580 and you'll soon be able to update your username easily from profile setting.
