When I'm on a website and click on a link, it opens up a full page ad for something I did not want.
It does not do this everytime I click, but it does it every 2nd or third time I click on a link. It open up on a new tab. I need help figuring out how to stop this from happening.

The image for Tech Support for Mozilla is an ad that just showed up when I clicked on a link on Firefox.
1: Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
2:
You may have ad/mal-ware.
Further information can be found in this article;

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Warning: That is a FAKE add
. Whenever you get a message / popup like that;
DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS OR ANY PHONE NUMBERS ! !
