Hi ajprince, Have you tried the Zoom Control as an alternative? That control can increase to 300%. I put the Zoom Control right next to my address bar from the Customize options.

Tip: When you click the percent indication in the center, it quickly restores to 100%.

There are also extensions available which might provide a better experience, like: Tranquility Reader - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tranquility-1/?src=featured

Thanks for your prompt response. Nah, In reader mode, the zoom maxes out at 100%, which corresponds to max size that I can now get with crt+.

Right, the Zoom Control suggestion would be an alternative to Reader Mode. It doesn't work very well in conjunction.

Have you looked at any of the Extensions?

A colleague of mine just enlightened me to this thread. You might find some useful suggestions to be able to continue enjoying Reader Mode.

Thanks for that. At some point recently I refreshed firefox and noticed that I had the facility back: i assumed that it was some sort of anomaly and was resigned to enjoying it while it lasted. in the end i'd decided that it was no big deal anyway: i'm a big user of pocket so with that it was an easy work around. But this is good to hear.
