Thunderbird freezes whenever I use spellcheck and must be restarted. Can this be fixed?

Specific mail window where spellcheck was invoked freezes. Tbird can be closed but screen remains. Must stop Tbird in task mgr to get rid of the screen then restart Tbird. Please advise.

What is your version of TB, and which dictionaries, names and versions, are installed in Tools/Add-ons/Dictionaries?
