Running version 68.0 under Windows 7. Just migrated from older version. Safe mode does not fix this problem. Running default theme. Any ideas?

Hi ww.brown, is the problem that you have a resizable window and you want to move it to a different position on the same screen, or on a different screen?

If you are trying to drag from the address bar to the desktop to create a shortcut and it isn't working, please see the following article: Drag and Drop errors with Firefox Launcher Process enabled and Windows UAC disabled - How to Fix.

I am trying to drag the Firefox title bar around the desk top. Often the drag will work for a few seconds and then stop working. All other functions inside the Firefox window continue to work as expected (switching tabs, closing the window, creating new tabs, using the menu, etc.).

I assume it's still possible to maximize and un-maximize the window using either

  • the middle button between _ and X
  • Alt+Spacebar, then either Maximize or Restore

Or move the window using

  • Alt+Spacebar, then Move, then arrow keys (press Enter to lock the position)

The only problem is with the mouse?

What about drag-and-drop to the desktop (for example, an image in a page)?

Both the maximize and un-maximize buttons work. So does the Alt+Spacebar followed by Move. I will consider the latter to be a good workaround. Let this chain document a potential problem with Firefox that has a reasonable workaround. Thanks!
