Constant popups to update. Then automatically updated and deleted previous session (32 tabs) and theme. In the last 2 months I've had to hunt for a new theme. Getting exasperated with recent "improvements" which are ruining Firefox. How can I restore session and theme?

Last time deleted add-ons and theme. This time add-ons saved, but previous session (also after a restart) gone. Theme always turns to black.
