Why won't firefox populate my external link buttons?
Hi, so external links will not populate on my college webpage (they're like buttons to the external page I'm supposed to turn stuff into). It forces me to use another browser just for schoolwork, which is rather annoying. Attached is what it SHOULD look like (on Safari) whereas all that's on the firefox version is the title of the assignment and the clickable link, but not the the button where I ACTUALLY submit my assignment.

It's very difficult to tell just from your description. (& no screenshot, either)
Was the area previously occupied by the button images replaced by blank space? Or did the clickable link URLs get re-positioned on the page?
Or were the buttons replaced by a graphic symbol indicating a broken image link?
If you have an Ad-Blocker extension installed, it's possible that the button images were blocked, if their URLs matched one of the selection rules. It would be good to know if the buttons are actually true HTML "buttons", vs. "<img src=" elements within an "<a" reference, or a combination of those.
Go into the "Tools -->> Add-Ons" selection in the menu bar, and select "Disable" for all Extensions, Plug-Ins, and Themes. Then restart Firefox and see if it still happens. This can be time consuming, but if this worked, you can then re-enable the add-ons and plugins one at a time to determine which one is the culprit. If the culprit is an Ad-Blocker, you might be able to edit the blocklist to exclude the rule that blocks your icons.
You can learn more about the icons (e.g. their URL or HTML source code, by displaying them on a browser that works, and RIGHT clicking on them, and select either "Inspect Element" or "View Page Source" (or equivalent). (You need to understand some HTML to know what you're looking at, but that's how you would be able to identify the actual item that's being blocked so that you can configure your ad blocker to allow it..... Assuming that the ad blocker is in fact the issue.)

With no additional information, still assuming it's an ad-blocker... Some ad blockers have easy customization ... for example if it's AdBlock Plus, you can easily create an exception for the page you're on without going through any of the rigamarole I described earlier. See attached image:
