Why is this site such a pain in the ass to give a simple feedback?

I just wanted to submit a suggestion not ask a damn question. Maybe this is why firefox is getting less desirable to use.

So how can I submit feedback or make a suggestion without going through all these extra steps that are completely unnecessary?

you can email it, through searching the email address for people who are more close in the coding circle. if there wasn't any , try the social media

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

I don't have any email addresses nor do I know who would be responsible for the suggestion I wish to make. As far as social media is concerned I don't use any of them nor do I plan on using them.

Why can't you just have a page to post feedback and suggestions? It is simple and direct rather than going through something like this which is designed to provide support not feedback and suggestions.

At least you can figure out how to ask a question. I can't even do that, nor can I find a way to submit feedback. Firefox is getting more and more difficult to use, especially the forums!

For example, thanks to Firefox's latest updates, I am now unable to play MANY games on a particular website and have had to resort back to Internet Explorer. Firefox is seriously becoming unusable. I don't want to use Chrome because Chrome is made by Google who has no qualms about breaching someones privacy. It's why I refuse to login to YouTube anymore and had to abandon my channel there. And my tech guy told me that soon Microsoft will be pulling IE out and only edge will be available. This is not something I can use as I do NOT have Windows 10 and refuse to get it. So I soon will have no browser to reach the Internet through because I need a browser which will still play Flash AND Java games. I suppose soon I will have to check out something called Pale Moon. Firefox, you are seriously FAILING your users! Fix the issues!

Hi Delenn, the "Ask a Question" link on the top bar changed to "Get Community Support" which may be less obvious. The link is the same, though:

Is this the same issue from your earlier thread about no longer being able to run the Java plugin in Firefox 52 and later? https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1113345

That isn't going to change, and IE 11 is still your best workaround. I don't think IE 11 will be removed from old versions of Windows, but eventually it will stop getting updates. Probably in 2020.

Hopefully by then the old games will be updated to use Flash or modern technologies, or if they have to keep running in Java, maybe the site can provide a Java WebStart launcher to open them in the stand-alone Java program.

Thank you for the answer to how to ask a question.

In answer to your question, no, this isn't related to Java, this is a NEW issue which is affecting MANY people using the Kongregate game site and a customer service agent there says it is because of Firefox's latest update which is now preventing MANY people from playing games using Firefox. We users are seriously ticked off by this!

I only found one recent thread mentioning Kongregate. Is it this issue? Firefox 64 blocking Flash games from saving

Oh, here's a second one: trying to play a game on kongregate.com the play button will not display...but works on chrome

If it's a different issue, please do start a new question.

No, this has nothing to do with saving, Firefox is now making it seem as though the game is BROKEN and therefore completely unplayable through Firefox. The people I have been in contact with through Kong have stated that everyone experiencing this issue is using Firefox and that it started AFTER firefox's latest update!!!

For example:

https://www.kongregate.com/games/electrolyte/reprisal

I don't know what you're going to see, but what I see when I ATTEMPT to load this particular game is a black screen with a disk like thing in the upper left hand corner. The game refuses to load up. In another game called Wonderputt, a miniature golf game, the game sort of loads, but you cannot advance beyond the first hole because the second hole does not get created as it should. And if you read the comments section, there are NUMEROUS complaints about the same thing! So it makes it impossible to complete the Badge of the Day games so that we can get our Kongpanions and our Shiny Kongpanions at the end of the week unless it's a game we've already played and earned the badges in and it doesn't matter if the game loads properly. However, for games we'd actually like to be able to play, again, this issue is preventing us from being able to play them in Firefox. Firefox needs to fix whatever they screwed up in their latest update which now prevents us from playing these games!

Hi Delenn, with the game you linked, the disk icon appears during loading (a percentage shows under the disk) and then the annoying music starts...

I tested in both my regular profile and a new clean profile. Can you try that test?

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test some games.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Click the Create a New Profile button, then click Next. Assign a name like Jan2019, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Set as default profile button below that profile, then scroll back up and click the Restart normally button. (There are some other buttons, but please ignore them.)

Firefox should exit and then start up using the new profile, which will just look brand new. Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system so we can get a clean test.

Do the games load any better in the new profile? You will need to allow the site to use Flash using the notification icons toward the left end of the address bar.

When you are done with the experiment, open the about:profiles page again, click the Set as default profile button for your normal profile, then click the Restart normally button to get back to it.

I started to try what you want me to do but nothing says, "Default Profile." It only said, "Default User," so I cancelled out of it and didn't try it. And nothing said, "set as."

OK, I was finally able to do as you asked, but when I clicked, "Restart Normally," it just shut the browser down and did NOT restart. I had to manually click on the firefox icon and I'm just getting a small box with some sort of blue page and it's telling me to enter my email to continue and I refuse to do that. I am not getting any of my browsing links/lists so I cannot even go anywhere and I have no idea how to get my regular browser back.

OK, I managed to navigate to Kongregate. I had to re-sign in. I went to the Reprisal game. Nope, same broken disk icon thing. You said it had a loading percentage. I got nothing like that. Just the broken disk icon and a blank black screen. So no, the problem still exists under this new firefox thing you had me do.

Thank you for trying the new profile. I think the signing in could be a factor because I was testing without signing in (I don't have an account). Something additional must need to happen when you start the game signed in. Like maybe accessing Flash storage. Did you try reducing the sandbox security level? https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1243952#answer-1185360

Thank you for trying to help, but Kongregate staff have already said this issue is due to Firefox's latest update. It is not on my end. I am not a techie person and this is getting too complicated for me to deal with. This is Firefox's issue to deal with and fix. These games worked perfectly fine BEFORE the update but are not working AFTER the update. Ergo, FIREFOX needs to deal with this, not me.
