Hello

My question is: why there are no 125% pages enlargement, only 120% and 133%? I wanted to change a few times my browser to Firefox, and I still miss 125% enlargement. I do not want any additions, I want it to be 125% in standard

If the problem is when you tap Ctrl+ two times, you want 125% instead of 120%, you can fix it yourself in 30 seconds.

But if that's not what you meant, what did you mean?

Hi gryfolud, I'm sure there's some computation-related reason that the standard steps are 110%, 120%, 133%, 150%, 170%, 200%, etc. However, you can edit them as follows:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste ZOOM and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues preference to display a dialog where you can enter the steps. It might be easier to copy these somewhere that you can enlarge the text to see it better. As you can see from the default value, there are decimal values separated by commas without spaces. I've bolded the 1.2 that stands for 120%:

.3,.5,.67,.8,.9,1,1.1,1.2,1.33,1.5,1.7,2,2.4,3

You could try adding a 5 to that:

.3,.5,.67,.8,.9,1,1.1,1.25,1.33,1.5,1.7,2,2.4,3

.3,.5,.67,.8,.9,1,1.1,1.2,1.25,1.33,1.5,1.7,2,2.4,3

If something goes wrong, you can cancel the edit, or after saving, right-click > Reset and start again.

What do you think?

Thanks, but I'd prefer that 125% be in the browser standard and that I do not have to do anything that you would advise me. I want it to be like Opera, Chrome, and even Internet Explorer has an extension of 125%. Can Firefox developers do something about it?

Well, you can submit comments and suggestions through one or more of the following links:

But it has been this way for a long time. If you need to use it any time soon, I suggest changing the setting.

I used Firefox in the past, but I moved to the Opera Browser. Once again (maybe 15) I want to give up Opera Browser. And come back Firefox, but stops me my problem (125% pages enlargement). Developers for a long time they do not add the option I need. I thought that Firefox Quantum something will change, but it's the same weak browser what used to be.

It is about that I want have a choice (without additionals, or change something using your methods "about:config"). I want turn on browser firefox and on all pages configuration instead pages enlargement 100% I want 125%. Not 120% or 133%. I want my choice.

Currently, for the "base" zoom level, Firefox follows your system-level setting. In Windows 7, it is the "Text Size" feature. So if the Windows Text Size is 125%, then Firefox applies that automatically as the starting point, or "default" zoom level. Any additional zoom is on top of the 125%. But you can't see that in the menu, the menu doesn't show that base value.

If you need to enlarge web content with an additional "default" level of zoom, you can use an add-on such as

Last time I checked, that was set on the Options page in the middle of the panel:

Note: it's possible to change a setting in Firefox to override this behavior of following the system zoom level. If you want to check on that:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the filter box, type or paste devp and pause while the list is filtered -- there should only be one preference left

(3) The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx normally has -1.0 which follows the system Text Size. If you change it, please make sure it is NO SMALLER THAN 1 -- meaning 100% -- and NO LARGER THAN 4 -- meaning 400% -- or it may be difficult to recover after that.

If necessary, you can right-click > Reset on the preference to get back to the default of -1.0.

But I want to click "+" where I marked in the picture and that it would be 125%. No inventions :) I Want as they have other normal browser. No problems or quirks. I click where I marked "+" and with 100% I have 110% then next "+" 120% and next "+" i have 125% just like other browsers do. I want developers to add my options to the standard how is 120% and 133% let it be 125%.

Note that zooming with the Ctrl and mouse wheel always adjusts the zoom in 10% changes (keyboard uses the values as set via the above mentioned pref).

cor-el but I want to set 125% not 120% or 130% I want 125%. Such a size is for me most convenient on my monitor.
