On Firefox and Google Chrome, whenever I try to access Imgur, the page states that it is not redirecting properly, and that an error has occurred whilst trying to connect.

Online solutions always tell me to keep clearing my cookies, download history, and browsing history. I've done all of those things and yet none of those have worked. Another website told me that deleting the cookies.sqlite folder in Firefox's profile folder would fix the issue, and yet it hasn't

The redirect error stops me from accessing Imgur, which is a shame because it basically stops me from using the website to upload images anymore. Is there a proper, working solution to this? I've tried all the solutions online and yet none of them seem to work.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks for responding. After enabling the option to accept all site cookies, eventually the site started working again like normal, but now after a few days the same error is happening.

Is there a possible permanent solution to this? I've tried doing the same but it isn't solving the issue.

You can check for problems with preferences.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

It seems to be that the problem keeps coming and going every 1-2 days or so, and I can't really tell if clearing my cookies or doing any of the other solutions that I have carried out are really solving the issue or not.

Additionally, I believe the problem only exists when my computer is connected to my home's WiFi. On another website also blocked by the issue, when I'm connected to another WiFi network, the problem goes away. When error occurs, it says that "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete", and in the address bar is a long chain of Vodafone control content page links that loop multiple times. This also happens on Chrome.

As for another update, on Imgur, it says that "The owner of imgur.com has configured their web site improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this web site", but this doesn't make any sense, as Imgur is a very reliable website.
