</p><p>The updater would normally always replace the previous Firefox version, but there might be a switch from 32-bit to 64-bit in some cases and a new full version would be installed.

</p><p>I install FF 57.0.1 via GPO (Server 2012) on Windows 7 Pro clients (no special specs) using the Firefox Setup 57.0.1.exe from Firefox.
