You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache:

  • Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hopefully the first reply will help you find the problem, but if not:

After you enter your login, what do you see? If you get a blank page, try going to the Google home page using the address bar or bookmark. Does it show that you are logged in or not logged in?

I'm asking because it's helpful to separate the question of whether the login isn't submitting for some reason, or whether the redirect to the service you wanted to use isn't working for some reason.

Either way, I get no action when I hit "next" my email address shows but nothing else. It is so strange!

I've even attempted an uninstall, but it seems as I do not get a full uninstall as it remembers my tabs. I really appreciate the help!

Ok it is remembering your Tabs as it is still saving your Firefox Profile. Which is what it is suppose to do when uninstall as most people do not know how to save bookmarks/passwords/profile then the scream not kindly when something happens to those things. It is good thing to do is to make a backup copy of your profile when things are working good. So at least have something saved. Ok with that thought : I usually my self just open my passwords then show passwords and take several screen shots of it. I use on the reinstall to put back then zip and password protect it for future use if needed.

Can then use OS search using bookmarks.html and save . Then uninstall and go through all folders in C:\ and delete Mozilla/Firefox/ and the Mozilla Folders in Users in Windows and delete from there then attack the registry and delete from there. Then I have my Clean Install and get a Full Version Installer from here : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ ok so above is worst case only .

This info should have https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data There is a section on working with Profiles should note.

So with you already uninstalling and reinstall lets go with the worst case and do the pulling and deleting. Good Luck elehrke

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I don't recommend deleting your profile. Here's one way to check on whether you need a new/clean profile:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your sites.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Click the Create a New Profile button, then click Next. Assign a name like Oct2017, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Set as default profile button below that profile, then scroll back up and click the Restart normally button. (There are some other buttons, but please ignore them.)

Firefox should exit and then start up using the new profile, which will just look brand new.

Does Gmail work any better in the new profile?

When you are done with the experiment, open the about:profiles page again, click the Set as default profile button for your normal profile, then click the Restart normally button to get back to it.
