You can install the Firefox ESR 52 version which will get security updates into early 2018, to get "more time" using Firefox.

I guess if Mozilla has turned it's back on loyal end users/supporters , I must turn my back to Mozilla and get a browser that lets me decide what is and isn't good for me. I don't need a nurse-maid dictating that I have skip web sites because of the very obvious and obsessive hate-on of Flash that the new kiddie-koders at Mozilla have for Adobe products. My recourse? Is to buy a new O/S on a new computer, purchase all the upgraded software I don't need upgraded, just to keep up with the Googies and wanna-be Bill Gates dictatorial and Draconian style of controlling what we can and can't use.

Hell, even Adobe themselves are ending support. But lucky for you, you have until 2020 to use Flash as you see fit with the ESR build. Be sure to get the 32-bit version.

Also, its not all Adobe products, just Flash in particular. Flash was good for the Web back in the day but we have tech that allows to move beyond that. Its a good change.

Also, why are you still using Acrobat? Is that even being actively developed anymore?

1 - I have been up-buying, upgrading, patching, updating, and getting "with the times" since 1981. I fed developers, the Gates Family, and fighting for my rights and privacy since then. Do you buy a new car just because the model went from GTx5 to GTx6 (because they added another knobby the radio)? So why would you sneer down your nose at those that don't need an upgrade - but are forced to - just because.

2 - I have Acrobat Writer and make my PDFs with it. Why? Because it works with the Office suite I boought a few years ago and I paid darned good money for both a what to a junior like yourself might feel was a long time ago; it does the job as it was designed to do, it result is cross-platform compatible and what business is it of yours?

I have listened to the new kiddie-koders on the block tell everyone to "get with the times". The "times"???? YOU junior know-it-alls should remember this, that when you mature and look at it from a logical point, you too will get sick of spending all that time, money, and grief keeping up with the "time". Time that could be better spent of living well, not hunkered over today's update lists.

I didn't ask for a lecture from any Googies raised on a cell phone to tell me I should get with the times. I asked for the chance to decide for my self if I want Flash on here or not. And if your twixts between Firefox, Opera, or Google's Stalker, Chrome is any indication of where things are still headed; fair warning, the septic system can't handle it. The point is that it isn't up to a browser whether or not Flash should be used, it's HAS TO BE USED on some web sites, many, many web sites. Maybe the reason YOU don't notice it is because your browsing is limited by what the koders at Moz these days thinks is the best thing for you. If you need your hand held - fine, but Moz isn't the only software people buy a computer for.

Keep in mind kid, that not everyone wants to become a Firefox geek. Like you, (I hope) everyone knows how to drive, but not every one needs to, or wants to know how to re-bore and replace a cylinder!

FIX: When using the limited Firefoz browser and get the warning from King Moz that you are not permitted to use Flash the kewl-kiddie steps are:

a: Select the URL that is blocked by Moz, copy it. b: Close Moz. c: Open choice of any other browser. d: Paste the URL blocked by Moz in to the URL. e: View Flash object. Close browser. f: reload Firefox. g: continue surfing the Moznet - limited, but there.

The Moz software (program, script, digital application, app or whatever the kiddies are calling it this month), belongs to Moz. Mozzies have every right to deny my access to anything. I don't have to pull a 'get with the times' card to close Moz and move on to another browser.

I can just see the look on YOUR face when your car manufacturer locks you out of your vehicle because you need to upgrade each time the traffic light changes color.
