can't open websites other browsers can, tried all the fixes I could find, only solution is to uninstall my Symantec 14.0.2349.

I have 10 brand new Dell Inspiron computers running Windows 10 Home. Installed Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.0.2349, Firefox 52 and now 53. Firefox won't open any websites and appears to be locked up while Chrome and Edge work fine. The only way I can get Firefox to work is to uninstall the SEP 14. Obviously not a good solution for my company.

I've tried every solution I could find, proxy settings, firewall settings, disabled IPv6, deleted and added Firefox to the list of allowed websites. about:crash gives me a blank screen.

Have any thoughts or other solutions?

Do you also have Malwarebytes Exploit Protection running? There is a known incompatibility between some versions of that software and Firefox's Multiprocess feature which causes (1) connecting but never loading, and (2) the window close button doesn't work.

Otherwise, Firefox and Norton usually play fine together, apart from the kinds of things described in this article: Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can.

I uninstalled Malwarebytes and it works.

Peculiarly, it's just that combination --

Recent Windows 10 update + Norton security + Malwarebytes Premium

-- which is causing this issue. MWB Exploit Protection is said to have the option to exclude firefox.exe but I haven't seen the specifics on how to do it.
