How do I disable the Master Password?

For a good many months I have been trying to figure out what is causing my computer to have a pop-up message which says

"Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device". This message appears within a few seconds each time I go online and almost every time I changed screens with a new browser address:

If I do not click the X box it will not allow me to proceed with any further actions. This only happens when I use the Firefox browser.

I have checked with my internet provider and they tell me this message has nothing to do with their system, services, etc.

I have looked into all aspects of the virus protection they provide (something called F-Secure) and there is nothing thereat which can address this issue.

Again, this only occurs when I use Firefox to search with. (My other browser is Chrome.) Otherwise that source is a good one that I prefer to use. I saw your email address at the bottom of the Firefox page screen and so this is how I have contacted you.

Please inform me as to how to eliminate the message mentioned above and/or to eliminate the need for a Master Password. What's it for, anyway? (I have NO IDEA as to anything about a "master password" and I resent being asked for it for virtually every effort I make to change browser addresses, etc.)

Please assist in any way you can, letting me know, if you know, if there is someone else I should contact to address this concern.

Thank you very much for your time and attention! Kevin R. Landry

If it's the Firefox Master Password; select to change the master, and enter nothing in the new password.

If this is from some other program/add-on, it should be the same.
