Though I wonder if Verizon is to blame as they purchased Yahoo last month and then shortly after the Yahoo toolbar is changed. Then shortly after [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar-and-new-tab/versions/ they removed previous versions of the toolbar extension in last couple years at AMO] in order to get people to use the current Yahoo toolbar version. Unless the Extension author is say Mozilla or Mozilla Labs on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ the vast majority of Extensions hosted there are by a third-party author or company.
