I am using Firefox v46.0 on Windows 10 Home system. since recent upgrade I continually find a Shockwave error message pop-up which says shockwave has stopped working? I do not get any errors or problems in other applications nor browsers.

This has become a very frustrating and annoying distraction (delay) in my regular computer work. I was lead to believe Firefox was the most stable and secure browser available; however, recent comments on forums all over the web give me cause for concern that Firefox has lost it's way!

Hi, you have more than one version of Shockwave Flash - which can cause problems, so all but the latest should be removed from your machine -

If that doesn't fix it, see: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

I found 3 versions of Shockwave installed by using the search box in Mozilla support. The older versions could be disabled, which may have solved the issue; however it was easier to use the 'uninstall flash player' utility you provided and then re-install only the latest version. I have no further issues since; thank you for your support.
