I am repeatedly asked to log in in Facebook, Yahoo mail. I just set up FFox this morning and it has so annoyed me by asking me to log in again and again. 20-30x

Mozilla support does not receive these questions and calls for help?...this goes to community? How customer facing is this? Not very.

I just set up Firefox this morning. I used it years ago but became disenchanted with it dropping my sessions and telling me that Firefox cannot find this site.

Today, in the short time I have been using Firefox again I am repeatedly asked to log in on Facebook & Yahoo mail. Those are the only two sites I have been on today. I could not sign in fast enough on Yahoo Mail to keep up with the sign in messages so I got out of it.

I just set up Firefox this morning and Just being on Firefox such a short time it has so annoyed me by asking me to log in again, again and again. 20-30x and I have not been online much today. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Having people choose to be kept logged in and to save their passwords to try to get around this failure of Firefox is incredible. It is unsafe to their sessions on those sites and it also makes them more exposed to break ins by crooks.

I am not sure what to do to avoid this short of not using Firefox. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks, jaaess

Hi, I notice you have a couple of addons that might cause a problem one being Browser PLus. Its connected to Yahoo, which means that could be one reason you are being asked to log in to that all the time. When I tried to download it, both FF and my security software wouldnt let me no matter what I tried. I checked a few things and warnings are given about really looking at Browser PLus settins so that it isnt intrusive. That could be a reason Facebook as popping up all the time as well. Just something I found on searching. Check on all the other Addons you have that might be doing the same

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Also, could you check your connection settings here:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Advanced, then above the page on the right, Network, then the "Settings" button.

The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" settings, and you also could try "No proxy".

The option "Auto-detect proxy settings" can cause problems staying logged in on some sites including Yahoo and AOL network sites (for reasons that I don't remember).

I have would like to have replied to each of the suggestions but have not figured out a way to do so. I still have the problems with Yahoo Mail.

Firefox has crashed on me several times now.

I was not able to find the Browser Plus addons that could might be causing the problems. I used a few but was warned later that several were removed...I did not select those when I chose addons I wanted. I tired to emulate my incognito mode of browsing only when desired, always no tracking, no ads, no popups, no ads on YouTube and plus privacy on mail. If you stay logged in to, say, Yahoo, they track you and when you are browsing other sites they still have your name and I am sure other information. I don't want that.

I did use shift when creating a browser window. That was not liked by the site I went to so I had use it for something else.

I had to go back to a Chrome browser to make Yahoo Mail stay working. Repeated log ins with no mail in between. Grrr.

I am not liking having these problems.

I just encountered another problem. When watching a program on Hulu Hulu says Firefox does not support DRM s oftware...cannot watch ads...which is good but it stalls there and does not go on as with adblockers blocking the ads. jaaess

with the DRM problem, you can check that in Options. Go to the top right of screen, you will see 3 lines, click on that, then click on Options. Then click on Content, then Click into the box next to where is says Play DRM Content. Wxit FF using File>Exit, then reopen FF and yu should now be able to watch DRM content.

As for the other problem, I am going to escalate it to somebody in Tier 2, they might be able to help more.
