"Please remove current Avast Online Security plugin (AOS) from your Firefox (click Remove button) and then repair Avast installation.
It should install the latest AOS version in to your Firefox.
To repair Avast installation click on "Start", find "Control Panel" and click on it. A new window will open. In this window you should see the icon "Programs and Features". Again, you should click on it.
Select 'Avast, then click on the 'Uninstall/Change'.
When the avast! Setup Wizard appears, select the option "REPAIR" from the left pane.
Restart your PC."
This completed the remaining issue and my Avast Online Security plugin/add-on is now working.

I worked via email with Avast. They sent me a link. When I used it and followed all the instructions, my Avast Online Security started working again. Their green icon is now showing on my toolbar. However, it is still showing that Firefox is not recognizing it when I look at my add-ons Manager. Avast is still looking into why this is happening, but other then this error in the add-ons area, Avast is working properly.

AFAIK, Avast supplies that add-on. I know it's not hosted at the Addons.Mozilla.Org website.
