For the past month, resizing a window on my mac (in firefox only) causes a hard system crash, forcing me to reboot without saving.

Last time I see anyone complaining of this was over a year ago.

My mac is on 10.7.5, and firefox version 40.0.3

I can't upgrade the OS any further for now.

I am also getting the black voids when scrolling or resizing (when it doesn't crash) that other people are talking about.

Fixes? Other than buying a new mac? Can't afford it right now. Just would like this to work right.

Thanks, D

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
