How do I restore tabs, tool bar faves, history? Disappeared when I refreshed foxfire. I am furious
I restored/refreshed firefox per 'your' recommendation. As a result all tabs, history, and tool bar faves have vanished. Not acceptable. I am furious!

When you reset/refresh Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported. The current profile folder will be moved to an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
It is possible to recover data from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
When I reset/refreshed Firefox then a new profile was created NO personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data was saved. I am having to rebuild and have no idea what I've lost. The Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop was essentially useless
If you use the Time Machine then try to restore file(s) from that backup.
I have yet to hear from anyone Mozilla person who's taken some responsibility for this screw up. and i still do not have a solution

I'm not sure what you mean by that. If you look inside that folder, there should be one or more semi-randomly-named profile folders. Can you identify one that has freshly updated files from just before your refresh?
If so, do you want to try the following, it will take a few minutes but could save hours.
These are the steps described in more detail below:
- Create a new Firefox profile
- Remove everything from that new profile folder
- Copy in everything from the old profile folder
Create a new Profile
Since I don't have hands on experience with Mac, I'll refer you to our support article: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles.
When you create the new profile, please ignore the option to change the folder location. Just let Firefox choose the location, then start up in the new profile.
Open the New Profile folder in Finder
Firefox in the new profile should look like a factory fresh installation. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using any of these methods:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table, click the "Show in Finder" button. Firefox will launch your brand new profile folder in a Finder window.
Leaving that folder open, switch back to Firefox, and Exit using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- (menu bar) File > Exit or is it Firefox > Quit on Mac?
When Firefox closes, the new profile folder should be front and center, or you can activate it.
Copy Old Data in Place of New
In that new profile folder, select all the contents and delete.
Leaving that window open, open or switch over to your Old Firefox Data folder. Drill down into your old profile folder. At this level you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.
Select everything and Copy.
Switch to the empty new profile folder in other window and Paste. This may take a minute since some of the files are large.
Firefox should start up in that "new" profile with the resurrected old profile data. Success?
