One should not have anything to do with the other.

Are you saying you are blocked? The page does not load? The clip does not play? Any other problems?

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Find the flash player, and set it to Ask.

About 3 hours ago, I could suddenly access FB. Now I can't.

I get the following message:

"Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.facebook.com.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Hi FredMcD:

Thanks for your response. I am attaching a photo of what I get when I look for the plugins: I don't see the ADOBE Flash Player.

Thanks again, MB28

2nd plugin in that list. Shockwave Flash 18.0.0.160

For some reason, Flash is listed as Shockwave Flash, and Shockwave is listed as Shockwave for Director.

Hi FredMcD, thanks again. Unfortunately, still have the same problema. I spent an hour with Technical Support of Apple, and in the end, they instructed me to close down the laptop, and reinstall the OSX software. Am doing that now.
