I cant type my password in any site i vist when i use mozzila fox fire
this has happen to me twice where no mater where i go i can type in every other spot but i can't type in the password spot i need hep plz i have not a clue what to do any more.

Hi Rach75, Not a problem, we are happy to help. In order to make sure that the option has not been turned off, first check: Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms
Next please check that there is not more than one saved password for the site that you are accessing: Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox
However you mentioned that you cannot type in password fields, please try Firefox Safe Mode to make sure this is not an add on changing the functionality: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
Also better describe; what happens when you try to enter data?
Do you see a cursor in the password field when you click with the mouse? Can you use the Tab key to reach this field?
What element gets selected if you right-click this password field and open the Inspector via Inspect Element?
ok well to fredMcd i click on the box where you enter a passwrod the cursor blinks i try to type and nothng happens does not matter if i use a mouse or tab. i needed to get it fixed so i went to geeksquad they did something and fixed it however i have know clue what fixed it so when and if it happens agian i am still screwed but i was in the middles of a class and time as tight i do know as i was watching them they right click on where all the tools and setting are and somehow found a list where it said a bunch of flies within Mozzilla including cookies which i had alread easered 5 times so i am not sure how that would help but something in there did because it was the 3rd thing they tryed and they click 2 things and tried again and cookies was one of them and that worked then they enabled all my addons again try again still work so that was how it was fixed
Can you paste text in the password field?
Does this only happen with password fields and if so with all such fields?
Did you try Safe Mode?
no at the time i could not paste text in to the field yes it only happen in the password field and no i did not try anything in safe mode because for right now the matter is fine. If it happens again for a 3rd time I could be in trouble.
Some have reported that pressing F9 and the Windows key simultaneously one or more times has worked to fix issues with the keyboard not working.
You may have turned on caret browsing <F7> by accident.
Caret Out {web link} Disables change of the caret browse mode by shortcut key(F7).
thanks cor-el i might have to try that next time well if it happens again fred Mcd would disableing the caret not diable all of the typeing on anything ? i could type i had no probems typing anything else just within the pass word field of any website

No. This would only disable the <F7> key.
