I am getting 1000s of emails. I made a tiny donation to Mozilla and everything went wild. I ended up going to google for help...as my email accounts are gmail. My mail program is Apple. Please investigate how this is happening and let me know. I think I stopped the damage by closing every account I could over the telephone today. Any help is appreciated.

Are you talking about E-Mails or pop-ups ?

Some E-Mail providers provide sorting options for incoming mail. Check with your provider.

Are these from the same place or many? Talk to the provider about spam block.

Go here and register for protection for your e-mail and phones; The National Do Not Call Registry

I'm talking about emails. The reply addresses are long strings of letters like this: kdanvdwvrskdanvdrkcssckpsbxpaudsbcxswssstoaskknwdgskspogsobsshaesaicsuwsjgp (at sign) then ends with trustclip dot com, or offerinfluence dot com or automodeals dot net or ibot deals dot com

I don't know what to make of this or who to report this to, so that it will stop. I have gone in to mail preferences so only emails from those I know will get to me. Trying to delete these 1000s of emails only brings more. Any help or explanation would be appreciated. Thank you.

That's called spam. It has nothing to do with Mozilla . I'd recommend looking in your email program/website for your settings then blocking the addresses that are sending you that stuff.

Remember I told you about some providers can sort incoming mail? See if there is a Block Sender option or a way to sort the mail. If there is, list the main address in them, Example; Ispamyou@trustme.com, Place in the filter only; trustme.com And so on.

It is still happening. I am getting 2400 at a clip. I have changed my preferences and JUNK is to be deleted when quitting the mail program.

Funny that real e-mail arrives to ARCHIVE mailbox...I don't know why, but was happy to receive real email from actual friends! I'll wait and see what transpires...and let you know when it stops.

THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAY TO ALL!

ARCHIVE mailbox ? ? Do you mean the inbox?

Have you registered at The National Do Not Call Registry ?

In the iMail program, I do mean the Archive--a box that looks like a closed file box. There's: Inbox, Sent, Junk, Trash, Archive. I open Archive (the postage stamp Icon) and my email is there. No mail goes into the Inbox. All mail goes to Archive. All marked JUNK. Some is junk but some are friends' emails. ....feels like I've turned into Alice in wonderland or, nightmare land to be more accurate. (Even my family is getting tired of hearing about it.)

Thanks.

Open the options / junk control. Check all of the settings. Are your friends and family (and others) listed in the Safe senders list?

These pics are how mine works at Live.com run by Microsoft.

One more thing. If you can, go thru the Junk folder before you clean it out. Sometimes something may come in that you want to look at.

Also, if that account is getting too bothersome, create a new account. There or somewhere else.
