I notice this problem mostly with Facebook and apple.com but it has also happened on other websites. I have no problem with the same websites in Chrome. Private browsing also gives me the same problem.

I have disabled hardware acceleration. I have allowed pages to choose their own colors. I am not blocking images from any domains. I am not using any adblock extensions.

Choosing page layout with no style leaves the website with no punctuation or set up making it unreadable as everything is grouped together.

It has been like that for at least a month now.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} See if there is still a problem.

Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.9 Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.12

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings

I have started firefox in safe mode but the problem still persists. One of the plug ins is for Adobe Acrobat (10.1.12.15) and the other is for Adobe Reader (11.0.9.29), as I can see in the control Panel under Programmes How do i delete one of the plug ins? If I disable one (never activate) they are both disabled. I did have the high contrast theme ticked but I have now unticked it. I still have the same problem.

Those programs are just readers and should not effect Firefox display.

Type about:addons<Enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>)<Shift> A)

Select Plugins, set to Never or Ask.

Hi,

I have set the older one to never but now they are both on never. It is not possible to have one set and not the other.

So why can I still not see the webpages properly? I have tried everything else which has been suggested with no change.

Type about:plugins<Enter> in the address bar. Now search for the plug-in.

Example; Adobe Acrobat File: nppdf32.dll,nppdf32.dll Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll,C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AIR\nppdf32.dll Version: 11.0.9.29 State: Enabled Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.9

This will show you the path to that program. Copy the Path Only. Also note the name of the file, and remember it. Now Close Firefox. Open your file browser and paste the path in the address bar. Find the file, and delete it. Now you can restart Firefox. Warning ! Remember to delete the right program.
