I have updated to the newest version of firefox, and cannot see the menu bar or search field. I can see everything in a restore down (smaller size window) but I cannot see anything in maximize view of the window....only happens with firefox....everything works chrome and edge. If I click on the white bar it minimizes the window.

The settings isn't KISS , Keep It Simple Stupid and the new added in slide bar to the left/right isn't needed it just fills the screen with more unwanted stuff even in full screen view, you can remove all of the icons for the other settings on it, there is on option to remove it from the screen altogether.

Monitoring security cameras the display appears offset not like it use to be also.

At least i have a backup of the past four Fox updates including bookmarks Pw's ect so i can scrap the current one, have also set to prevent auto downloads both while using Fox and in the background, It can ask that is all.

For some reason it got reset and i don't know how that happened, that is how i got stuck with this one.

Hello. 😊 I have a question about my copy of Firefox for Windows v152.0.6 x64. (For the record, I have nasty feeling that I'm using the wrong forum; but the address bar says I'm in the right one.)

In my main profile, the one that I have been using for years, the "Home and Startup" part of my settings page shows the following:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Weather**
 - Shortcut
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

Today, I went to about:profiles and created a new profile. This new profile offers different settings:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Widgets**
   - **Lists**
   - **Timer**
   - **Sports**
   - **Clock**
   - **Weather**
 - Shortcuts
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

That's strange, isn't it? Why the difference? And how can get all the goodies of the new profile under my old profile?

There are a million links when searching this problem; none of the fixes work and a search on this site was nothing more than FAQs about bookmarks and what they used for, blah blah. Astonishing, for such a big issue that seems to be a legacy problem now. So little clarity over the gazillion alleged fixes for this. Tempts you to get a browser with paid professional support... The consultants I support as a programmer and using Firefox are asking again frequently, "Any idea when we'll get a clean version that simply fixes all the bugs and forgets about flashy new shit and all that ?" A very compelling question...

Is there a handy fix I can transmute easily and won't have to waste hours on for each person etc ?

i really need this colour switch pls. my firefox kept crashing with no explanation (maybe some extension i had, then deleted when the crashes began) so i had to reset the whole thing. now the appearance has changed. i had put back my background picture, witch was fine with me, but the text was black instead of white like it used to. and it makes me use firefox less. i think its something to do with the website contrast but I'm not sure.

I don;t know whether it is Firefox of Win 10, but I can't seem to reduce the amount of white space (or reduce the line spacing) when viewing websites. I'm at 80% size which is the best compromise between getting more information on a page, and legibility. Having a font which is darker or thicker would help as well, then I could reduce to maybe 60 or 70 %.
