This may be an old problem. In Linux, in bookmarks library, the scrollbar thumbs behave differently than in browser web pages. Even in new profile. This isn't a new issue for v157. Same behavior in any theme (any Fx themes, and / or diff 'Nix system themes).

I set scrollbars to disappear when not used or being hovered. On sites, when hover scrollbar area, they reappear. AND while pointer is over the track or thumb, it remains visible - does not reduce to an unusable width or disappear completely. As I think it should.

But in bookmarks library, the track & thumb disappear, even w/ pointer hovered, unless thumb is grabbed immediately. Even grabbing thumb & move it, then pause a fraction of second (still gripping thumb w/ L mouse button), the thumb & track STILL disappear. As long as you don't release grip (on now invisible thumb / track) they reappear when move pointer.

The bookmark library scrollbar behavior is also erratic. How long you have to grab it, when you 1st hover it. If you accidentally move pointer from folder pane, past vertical divider into bookmark pane, then left - back into folder pane, the scrollbar doesn't appear.

You have to move pointer well left of scrollbar, then approach it from the R, to make it reappear. It doesn't have any of this behavior in the browser (never has, AFAIK).

Mozilla "help" says there's a link at the bottom of the page for that, but I see no such link. Mozilla "support" says it's based on how one created the account; I apparently used "Mozilla Account". I am currently logged into Connect and have been searching the entire site literally hours, between yesterday and today, plus browsing account settings, and found NO WAY to reset my password. Seriously. I started at "Email Settings", which anyone would expect to have reset there, as eMail is half of the login data, but no. Nothing clearly visible on any page anywhere in the menu at the avatar.

Everything here keeps saying go to "Mozilla Support" for technical issues, but going to "Support", I see they only support "products", and the web site ecosystem, say Connect, Bugzilla, and Support, are apparently NOT PRODUCTS OF MOZILLA. They have no entry in the product combo box and I either have to lie about the product, or get no support. How is that supportive? Lol

i don't think you can you've fallen into the secure everything at the cost of your consumers going top Google chrome or Brave or etc just not firefox. It used to be my fav not any more congrats on your fuck up

I have received today 16/10/2026 an email purporting to be from Firefox telling me that my account will be terminated in 7 days and account totally deleted. I'm not sure it's genuine as I use Firefox regularly as my main server. If it is correct can you indicate how I maintain my access to the web and my Firefox account please? I am unable somehow to join a zoom meeting with both audio and video. Each occurrence is audio only. I wish to use both. What do I do? I use an ASUS Vivobook and Linux Mint.

I am back again with the same issue that I presented on the forum post three months ago. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594903?utm_campaign=questions-reply The difference is now it is happening on Firefox v157.0.1;everything else is identical. Qubes os R4.3.2 with Firefox 157.0.1 in a Fedora 44 xfce VM. To recap I open one window for Proxmox Datacenter Manager and as soon as I click to sign in Firefox completely disappears. I can open this in Chromium browser and Firefox ESR v.140.17.0 esr perfectly fine. Please consult the original post for all I did to troubleshoot this. I am working with the esr version now but would like to help put this issue to bed. Community members stepped up last time to help me so I am here to do my small part for others. I have deselected Save and autofill usernames and passwords in Settings-> Passwords and Autofill, but FF continues to offer saved pswd POPUP on a login page. I use Proton Pass extension and FF is writing over it, making it unusable.

Apparently I am not capable of dealing with all of the security elements of Firefox and LibreWolf. I primarily use Linux Mint, but have a Windows PC, Apple iPhone and Apple iPad. the whole two-step process and passwords have gotten to be to much to deal with. I do not have an authenticator app and do not want to have one. I am frustrated to no end!!!

How do I completely remove Firefox and LibreWolf and completely start over fresh?

As the title suggests, may I ask how to synchronize TAB groups across devices? It seems that now only open tabs can be synchronized across devices, but TAB groups cannot be synchronized.

It bypasses my DNS when I turn it on and I don't want that to happen. I want this PC to never be able to turn it on again. That probably isn't possible, but I gotta ask. In the meantime: how do I use LinuxMint's firewall to ban the usage of the VPN?

Also: can the firefox devs make that an option? To have the option to never turn it on again?

I am trying to set up firefox to add a passkey to sign in into bitwarden.

In bitwarden I added my Yubico key in order sign in into my account. Unfortunately, when I try to log back into my account with my Yubico key it doesn't work.

Does firefox support passkey ?

Currently Running Firefox 158.0(64-bit)mint-001 - 1.0 Linux Mint 21.3. This actually started with 157. This peculiar to the System Package version ONLY. The versions on Flatpak Mint, Windoze, iOS or Android have the problem.

In brief, If the text in a Youtube post exceeds approximately 150 characters, excluding the dots(periods), when the preview is clicked on then the post itself only shows that text and the expected "Read more" is missing. What is visible are three dots in what appears to be a far smaller font thus making me believe the link to the script that does the reveal has been suppressed.

Unless there is something hidden in about:config to cure this there doesn't seem to be any way around this.

As soon as I signed into the browser to sync my account, this issue began. I have deleted profile locks, started new profiles, opened in troubleshooting mode, fully reinstalled, and the issue continued (even before signing back in). I am out of troubleshooting steps and would like to avoid blowing my VM away if at all possible. Someone please help!

Tested on OpenSuse Tumbleweed both native & flatpak but also on latest live ubuntu image . After some seconds , with healthy buffer , video pauses/starts with new buffer , until it drops to 480p ignoring the manually 4K setting . When setting manually again to 4K , YT throws error . Blocking av1 and switching to vp9 fixes it . Hardware capable of running av1 (amd , rdna3 , rx 7800t) , local videos or using other chromium based browsers work fine .

On linux, in the past, firefox kept all its data in home/{user}/.mozilla. This was changed at some pont to spread the data out into /home/{user}/.config, /home/{user}/.cache and maybe another place but when the change was made existing data was not moved and remained in /home/{user}/.mozilla. For my purposes I prefer to see the data in the old location. I make heave use of profiles and I store them on an encrypted partition and I have firejail setup to give access to the old location. Whart does Firefox look at to determine whether to look in the new locations or the old location? What is the new location of profile.ini?

This is a new install of debian 13 trixie. I have a subscription to mozillavpn. It was working on a previous install of debian. I use synaptic to install flatpak. I use flatpak to install warehouse. I use warehouse to install mozillavpn. Once installed I highlight the package mozilla vpn in warehouse then click open. A mozillavpn icon appears in the taskbar. Also a window that is shaped like a cell phone open up. This window has a button to "sign up", also it has a link to "already a subscriber?". I click the "already a subscriber" link. It changes to a page that says "waiting for sign in and subscription confirmation..." with a rotating circle and a button to cancel. It also opens a separate browser to a start page. I wait awhile but nothing happens. I change the browser page to my mozilla account page at "https://accounts.firefox.com/settings" Nothing happens. There's a button on the account page to "connect a device" but I don't know what to do with it. Under the heading "Everything you are using and signed into." it has 2 entries: "Firefox 153, Linux" and "Mozilla Support". Both entries have a "sign out" button. Back at the mozilla vpn cell phone shaped window the spinner just spins and nothing else. So I'm stuck. I click cancel and it goes back to the "sign up' / "already a subscriber?" page. From the icon in the taskbar I click quit and both the window and the icon go away. Everything seems to working but I am not registering as a subscriber. I've tried this several times over the course of 2 days. It's always the same.
