Upgrading my PC

I will be purchasing a new desktop PC so that I can change to Windows 11 soon. My concern is that I use firefox to store all my passwords. I will need to use a 3rd party to transfer all my data from my old PC, I do not want them to have access to all of my many passwords. What should I do before I hand over my old PC to them for the upgrade to new PC ? I am old and not a tech savvy bloke, so do not get too technical please.

Hello!

This is a task that you could do by yourself with some patience and support from the community.

Firefox has a sync feature, you'll need a Mozilla account and then all the data will be stored in a cloud backup and from there you can sync with new device.

Step by step: 1. Open a Mozilla account here you'll see how: Access Mozilla services with a Mozilla account 2. Once you have your account go here and sign in: Back up and transfer your Firefox data to a new device

If there are troubles, just let me know. Screenshots of where you are stuck at are helpful.
