How to edit directories on Linux Save Page As dialog

On the Save Page As dialog on Linux, how do I edit the choices of where to save? The stock options are Home, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, and + Other Locations. I don't use most of these directories, but I do use two dozen others. Navigating to them using Other Locations is painfully slow; it would be ok if I could then save the location I've navigated to, but I haven't found a way to do that, and clicking one path element at a time for 6 element paths over and over gets old quickly. Typing the path I want either nukes the default filename, or else it tries to match the filename string from the URL in the target directory, which doesn't show me existing directory contents.
