Hi Katherine, do you get these alerts after something specific occurs, such as Windows starting up, Firefox starting up, visiting a specific site, the clock striking midnight, etc.

Some things to consider inside Firefox:

(1) Clean the permissions list for sites allowed to send you notifications. This is on the Settings page. See: Web Push notifications in Firefox and go to the section "How do I revoke Web Push permissions for a specific site?"

(2) Disable or remove nonessential extensions (you can ignore Themes and Plugins). See: Disable or remove Add-ons.

Some things to consider outside Firefox:

(1) If Firefox is your default browser, then URLs that other programs send to Windows to open will be sent to Firefox. Are you getting any unexpected pages opening?

(2) You may want to scan for malware. The following article links to tools other Firefox users have found helpful: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Any progress so far?
