I have many - sqlite - various addresses on my computer, can I delete these? I am being told by Microsoft that I am out of storage and I need to delete some items.

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

This refurbished laptop was purchased from Best Buy in August 2022 with a Windows 10 OS. When a free upgrade was offered by Microsoft to Windows 11, it was accepted. Why are there no drivers with a version 11 prefix?

i AM SHOWING 2 FIREFOX ICONS ON MY TASK BAR --THIS HAPPENED SUDDENLY ! I checked the apps and it shows 1 for firefox which is X64EN-US 322 MB--I did not uninstall,so what can I do to solve this ?

Once again, when I updated Firefox, it changed a LOT of my settings, including displaying the toolbar and open tabs bar.

When this happened last - months ago - it seems Mozilla realized this had happened to a lot of users, and managed to restore us to all the information that had been "lost".

I hope you can do that again, and can find a way to not put at least ME, and I'd bet a lot of other users, through the OMG!!! What do I do NOW?! panic.

You guys keep hijacking my browser and stopping all my work on a near weekly basis. Shutting down my ability to work on projects and stopping my browser from functioning in the middle of use. I can't even pay bills without you guys interrupting my browser with your bullcrap.

This is unacceptable. I've gone through great lengths trying to stop you from hijacking my browser. I installed a policy generator and followed the instructions to put a policy in. I uninstalled Firefox's background updater tool. I disabled automatic updates in the settings to the best of my ability.

I've gone through everything I can think of trying to stop your forced updates. Its unethical what Mozilla is doing to its users. I even tried to lock policies with admin only authorizations but firefox couldn't read the file anymore when I did that. I did confirm today that the policy file was still working, when Firefox ignored it and shut down my browser till I restarted it. I confirmed that Firefox is blatently ignoring policies.

I just checked and Background Maintnence was installed again when I didn't want it. You're now installing software against my will too? What the hell is going on.

idk when exactly this nonsense happen or with which update but thats outrageous.

why the hell it canceled in my setting the check mark at startup for opening previous tabs?! i haven't touched the settings in ages since i set them up so it had to be one of your stupid updates.

fortunatly chatgpt had a solution to bring all my tabs back otherwise i'd fucking rage out.

Hello, I am currently using Firefox Beta and I would like to switch to the regular Firefox Release without losing any of my data (browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, add-ons, and settings). I would appreciate guidance on the safest recommended method. Specifically:

Is it safe to install the Release version over Firefox Beta, or could this cause data loss or profile conflicts?

What is the best way to create a full backup of my Firefox profile beforehand?

Should I expect any issues with add-ons after moving from Beta to Release?

Do you recommend enabling Firefox Sync as an additional safeguard, or is a profile backup enough?

In case something goes wrong, what are the recommended recovery steps?

I look after about 20 PCs. All Windows 10. All were running Firefox ESR ranging from 115 - 128. As I get time I update each to the latest 128.x. Using group policies I've disabled all update settings.

However, on two of the PCs, they have updated to v139.0.1. Both of the users swear they did not manually do any update. I can't figure out how they got downgraded to the retail channel.

So my question is, since 128 < 139 how can I get them back on to the ESR channel, without loosing history, bookmarks, passwords and saved logins? I gather FF's installer will detect 128 as an older version and throw an error?

ESR -> Retail to me is a downgrade. So is it possible then to upgrade back to 128.11.x?

Each PC is refreshed annually and the only backup of the profile folder I have is from the last refresh, which in most cases in 8-9 months old.

Is there any way to find out why the downgrade happened when group policy forbids it, and the user did not manually download and install the latest version?

When these downgrades happen they break things. For example, when one PC was downgraded to retail his outlook.com email no longer works. If he uses his laptop which is on 128.11.0 it works fine.

Both the above have recently appeared on my old Dell Optiplex Desktop and are causing glitches and other problems (slowing down and sluggich performance). I'm not able to uninstall PWA apps created in Firefox 143.0.1 using Windows 11 usual uninstalling procedure. If i click "uninstall" in Windows Start Menu the app remains installed. PWA apps created with Firefox do not show on Windows 11 installed apps list so I cannot uninstall them. I haven't found any guide on the web on how to uninstall PWA created from Firefox. So, how can I effectively uninstall those PWA apps? Thank you in advance for your kind answer. Regards.
