Firefox tabs start crashing all of a sudden and won't stop crashing, until BSOD happens.

In my case it caused PFN List Corrupt Blue screen error.

How can I identify the real reason for the crash of the tabs, leading to the crash of the system?

Firefox releases email addresses and our data to third parties!

I installed the Arc browser and Arc offered to load my bookmarks from mozilla. Out of curiosity, I let it, and it loaded my bookmarks and folders smoothly. Arc didn't navigate Firefox to the login page, so Firefox released my information without asking me.

What probably happened in the background was that the Arc browser told Firefox which email address it was requesting data from, and Firefox handed over the data to it "on notice". Firefox was not even convinced that the real owner of the email address asked the Arc browser to synchronize the folders.

Is it the famous Firefox reliability?

The mute tabs icon is just a waste of space as soon as you get a few tabs loaded and the tabs shrink. I have multiple tabs showing at the moment where I have clicked on the icon and unmuted them when just trying to select them. It does not help that the icons have been placed in almost the exact centre of the tab, at least with the 19 I have showing in a mix of muted/unmuted. Only 7 of these tabs are still muted, although I did deliberately unmute one to check the action.

I would prefer it if these icons are not showing as they are a waste of space and my time. If you hit the icon the tab is not brought to the front as intended so you have to click on them again. I just want the tabs to work like real tabs.

Is there any way to remove the feature altogether? I have after a lot of frustration just reduced the sound for Firefox in the Windows Volume Mixer as I did before tab muting was thought of. I almost never use sound in Firefox anyway.

Trying to recover from a hard drive crash. Had to buy a new desktop with Windows 11 Pro (looking to be a bad move). I downloaded/updated to Firefox 126.0 (maybe also looking to be a bad move).

Have my last "working" userChrome file (it took me weeks to perfect this to my needs).

I am looking for: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

but there is no "AppData" folder. And there is no existing userChrome.css file, anywhere!

Is the functionality I am looking for a thing of the past?

Is Firefox not completely supported by Windows 11?

If so, what is the last version of Firefox that will still support userChrome.css?

Had it yesterday, happened this morning after the restart and just NOW, when I entered 6 lousy tabs, and they are NOT in the recently closed list either.. wups, gone, no tabs, setting has a check mark on open previous windows and tabs. Within 24 hours, lost the tabs three times with a non reported crash and Firefox closing itself with no warning.

I honestly do not think I am responsible to keep a backup of my browser history, I expect a browser to do that. I switched from Opera to Firefox not to long ago.. even Opera is a security risk.. at least it doesn't delete your tabs just for fun.

Very simple.. that happens once more and i am OFF this browser....

I'm trying to log into this page: https://accounts.firefox.com

The sign up or sign in button doesn't work. The first time I click it, it immediately refreshes. I click again and nothing. On the 3rd click, it just spins for 30 seconds then goes back to being blue. This continues every time I attempt to click further.

I can login on this page just fine using Firefox on my android phone. I can also login using the Edge browser. Matter of fact, I had to use Edge so I could post this issue.

This is a completely fresh install of Firefox, on a completely fresh install of Windows.

Hello,

This started happening recently, in the last 30 days. Gray screen is shown when I clink on any photo in "Your memories from this day" email from photos@onedrive.com. If I go to OneDrive, then select today's date the issue is the same.

I've tried the same actions in Chrome and the photos are shown without issues.

Can someone help with this?

I'll be watching a stream or youtube video and bam out of no where the Browser goes black for like 20 or 30 seconds then crashes. Several weeks ago, I was attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. In the process, I deleted Firefox (using Revo Uninstaller) and then reinstalled it, downloading it from the Mozilla website. Unfortunately, it didn’t run, giving me, at different attempts, different error messages. In the time since then, I have read many suggestions from many different websites and I have tried some of these suggestions, all with no success – until today. I have just completed the suggestions made on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327628 and Firefox is now back, working. I am happy and grateful, but not finished. None of my personal data came with the currently functioning version of Firefox. Since the re-emergence of Firefox, I have been reading several websites dealing with copy, backup and restore of my Firefox profile. Right now, the path C:\Users\rsuth\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ shows 5 folders: Two of the folders show 11/11/24 as the date modified (probably the date of the download from Mozilla). The folder 0dppjrfa.default contains one file, times.json, dated 8/11/2020. The other folder, ru82tlj5.default-release, has 97 items, most dated 11/11/2024. The remaining three folders are all dated 12/2/24 (today, as I write this). One folder’s name ends .default, the second name ends .default-release, and the third name ends .default-release-thirteen digits. The question that I am asking here is what do I do next to, hopefully, bring back the personal date I had with Firefox before my updating to Windows 11. Should I delete the folders dated 12/2/24? What, if anything, is the significance of the folder whose name ends in 13 digits? I’m hoping someone will be able to tell me how to fix these Firefox problems. And if I can, then I hope to be able to do something similar to help me bring back Thunderbird as well. Thunderbird became unfunctioning at the same time as Firefox. Thank you.

Hi,

am running firefox 127.0.1 on a windows 11 desktop. Numerous sites that use a captcha to login fail. In other words, the captcha never loads and I cannot login to those sites. Such sites include teamfaderpro, Coursera, and bandcamp. All logins fail as the captcha is required to be passed prior to logging in, but the captcha never appears and so when I try to log in, nothing happens and I cannot login.

I have tried the above same sites on the Edge browser and have no such issue, the captcha shows and I can login.

Just FYI, the agent switcher setting change recommended by others previously is not suitable. When I tried that fix I was unable to access a considerable percentage of the internet due to some cloudflare issue, so the agent switcher setting is not an option. So far, I have tried all recommended settings to fix this issue and nothing has worked.

I am surprised no one else is having this issue.

Any help is appreciated, or at least inform google/mozilla about this issue as it has been ongoing (on and off) for me for many months. And yes, this problem is persistent for me at the moment, it remains despite rebooting windows, despite clearing cookies and cache (which I have set to automatically delete when exiting firefox).

Hello,

I'm writing because I’ve encountered an issue with the tab groups feature in Firefox.

Some time ago, after a browser update, I noticed a new feature that allowed me to group tabs thematically — I could name each group (e.g., "Study", "Work"), choose a color for it, and save and close groups to reopen them later. I found it very useful and used it a lot.

Last night, I decided to declutter my browser and closed several tab groups using the built-in menu. A bit later, I shut down my computer, but perhaps too quickly. This morning, when I turned my computer back on, Firefox was very slow to start. After a restart, everything seemed to work fine again, and the open tabs were restored.

However, all my previously saved (but temporarily closed) tab groups disappeared. In the tab group menu, I can now only see the ones currently open. I’ve searched through all the settings and history but cannot find any way to restore the missing groups.

Is there any way to recover the tab groups that I had previously saved and closed?

Thank you very much in advance!
