The default Block Audio setting will prevent autoplay for all media with sound. The Block Audio and Video setting will prevent autoplay for all media, including video, even though audio is muted. The Allow Audio and Video setting will allow all media to autoplay.

Just installed 18.5.0.0 on Windows. Cannot find a horizontal menu that I have used before. It has many items including "History " which provides a drop down menu that includes "Clear history". Where is this thing? It's hard to locate when you don't know the name of a particular element.

I just tried to import my bookmarks from an HTML file. In the Bookmarks => Manage bookmarks => Import and backup => Import Bookmarks from HTML, after selecting the HTML file and then clicking "Close", nothing happens.

If I click on Bookmarks again, and look under import bookmarks, nothing shows up.

How do I get my book,arks to import from the HTML file, then have the bookmark menu appear as a drop down menu on my Firefox tool bar?

About a month ago I found that, when I clicked on Firefox browser, instead of the usual page with the default search engine duckduckgo coming up, a very plain page which just said "Search" appeared on screen with an address in the search bar which said something like "hp-search xxxxxxx". And when I entered the address I required it was clear that Yahoo was doing the search. I tried deleteing Mozilla from the Windows 10 control panel and then reinstalling it but each time I did this Firefox seemed to have been replaced by hp-searchxxxx and Yahoo. Eventually, after using an alternative uninstaller (Revo), I was able to remove and replace Mozilla with the genuine browser and search engine. I have a feeling it was when I added "Privacy Badger" or some other extension to Mozilla that the trouble occurred. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, could they please tell me what I error I made?

When I navigate to a YouTube video, I get the word YouTube in giant font as shown in the attached screenshot. There is some gibberish along the left edge. Actually, when I navigate to a specific YouTube video, I watch the correct video show up normally for about 1/2 of a second and then it immediately converts to the attached screenshot.

 This does not happen with Safari, and it just suddenly started happening today with Firefox. My guess is that a setting suddenly got changed by accident. But there may have been an upgrade that does not work on my computer. 
 Any suggestions or ideas for further troubleshooting would be welcome.

When Firefox opens it opens 2 additional tabs. I have not changed anything in settins. Syarted happening a few weeks ago. How can i prevent Firefox from opening2 extra tabs?

screen behavior in a mac is baffling! i want windows to stay where and how big they are, but firefox for mac has fancy behavior i DO NOT WANT. where is the list of behavior when clicking on screen size full, right, left etc click that i can turn OFF?

i need to delete the hotkey for closing browser/tabs with shift+w mainly. but every other hotkey is also in need of disabling. its an awful function that is completely unnecessary and unwanted. there is also nothing in the setting to even disable it which is fucking awful. why is it not a setting??

browser is about one reply from support away from being forever uninstalled.

My settings are checked to ask where I want a download to go, but then also puts a copy in the downloads folder. How can I stop the additional copy of a download?

I did a search to try and fix this. Suggestions included, checking if Private Windows are on, Customizing Toolbar, making sure all extensions are enabled and Refresh Firefox, all of which I did with no results. Before I go nuclear and uninstall/install Firefox, are there any other suggestions to solve this issue?
